Murray City hosts an ABOP drop-off site for the Salt Lake Valley Health Department.
  • Murray City ONLY accepts antifreeze, batteries, oil, and paint from the homes of county residents:
    Murray Public Services

    Drop off only during open hours,
    after check-in, and in designated area (Note: The property is under video surveillance)

    Check-in on 2nd Floor required
    - use south door or phone in office south vestibule
    Open 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Monday through Friday
  • Florescent light bulbs may be recycled at Salt Lake County Libraries
  • Other household hazardous waste should be taken to either:
    Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Facility

    6030 West California Avenue (1400 South)
    Open 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Monday - Saturday; or

    Trans Jordan Landfill

    10873 South 7200 West
    Open 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Monday - Saturday
  • Non-residential hazardous waste must go to:
    Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Facility
