In working to help educate the employees of Murray City regarding cancer awareness and prevention, Mayor Snarr has provided leadership in several venues.
A resolution was passed by Mayor Snarr and the Murray City Council at the Murray City Council meeting on September 28, 2004 declaring September and October as National Prostate and Breast Cancer Awareness Months. The resolution is presented in the first Council Meeting of September each year.
Employees are encouraged to wear pink or blue ribbons or pins throughout the two months to signify unity in promoting cancer awareness and preventative health practices.
