Garbage Pick-Up

The City contracts with Ace Disposal to pick up and dispose of solid waste for most of the City.  Some areas are served by Salt Lake County Sanitation.  Click here for our service area map and collection day schedule. If you experience problems with your pick-up, please call the Ace Disposal Customer Service Center at (801) 363-9995 during regular business hours or after business hours. Holidays If your regularly scheduled pick-up day falls on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, or the Fourth of July, pick-up will be delayed one day.

Fees
Curbside garbage services is $6.50 per month for one black automated refuse container and one green automated recycling container. Additional containers may be obtained for an extra $4 per month per container.

You may make arrangements for special accommodations and financial assistance at Murray City Hall.

Containers and Pick Up Location
Automated recycling container should be placed adjacent to the driveway, within (2) two feet of the curb, at least (1) one foot from obstructions such as lamp posts and fences, at least (10) ten feet from mail boxes and at least (4) four feet from black automated refuse containers. To ensure pick up, please have your containers out to the curb by 7:00 A.M.

Each automated container must remain at the property to which it is assigned and should not be moved or relocated to any other location without the City's prior written approval. Damage to any automated container caused by the property owner shall be paid for by the property owner.
