2015 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG)


The Murray City Police Department is submitting a solicitation for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG).

This grant program allows states, tribes, and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own local needs and conditions. JAG funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice.

The Murray City Police Department is seeking financial assistance for the purchase of In-Car cameras to be put in Department vehicles. The Murray City Police Department will utilize FY 2015 JAG funds for the following:

1) Four Panasonic HD in-car mobile digital camera systems.

The amount allocated to the City of Murray for this grant is $26,439.00

Murray City will accept public comments from August 3 2015 through the close of business on August 17 2015.
