Murray Fun Days was established in 1958 under the administration of Mayor Ray P. Greenwood and is now Murray's long standing 4th of July tradition. It has become a family day with a host of events in and around Murray Park.

Murray Fun Days will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 4, 2023!


Activities include:

  • Sunrise Service - 7:00 AM, Murray Park Amphitheater
  • Rotary Club Community Breakfast - 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM, Pavilion #5
  • 5K Walk/Run - TBA
  • Children's Race - TBA
  • Chalk Art Contest - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Outside Aquatic Center (pre-registration required)
  • Parade - 8:30 AM (Fashion Place Mall to Murray Park)
  • Games, Car Show, Food Trucks, Bingo - Murray Park
  • Daytime Entertainment - 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, White Gazebo
  • Evening Concert -  "VISION" (Classic Rock Tribute Band), 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Softball Field
  • Fireworks - 10:00 PM

Parade Information

2023 Fun Days Parade

  • Lineup of entries begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Northwest corner of Fashion Place Mall (6100 S State Street)
  • Travels from 6100 S and State north to Vine St (turns east on Vine Street to 330 E entrance of Murray Park; ends at Hillcrest Jr. High)
  • Parade entries are judged and awards given for the following categories
    • Special Interest/Antique Vehicle (pre 1970)
    • Business/Commercial
    • Equestrian/Animal
    • Civic/Royalty/Political/Float

*Email Entry form to klindquist@murray.utah.gov  or send to Parks & Recreation Office.

*Application fee ($50) for commercial entries can be paid in the Parks & Rec Office or mailed to the office (296 E Murray Park Ave, Murray, Utah 84107).
