We strongly encourage communication to take place by phone, email, or through the city website. If an in-person visit is necessary, please follow the guidelines below.
Murray City Hall, 5025 S. State Street
Mayor’s Office, Attorney’s Office, City Council Office, Human Resources, Finance and Administration, Recorder’s Office, and Police Department
- The building will be open to the public. Only two doors on the east side of the building will be open to restrict access points.
- Wearing a face mask is encouraged.
- Social distancing must be maintained.
A. Passports (801) 264-2660
- Located in the Recorder’s office. Passports will be processed by appointment only.
B. Police Department (801) 264-2673
- The police department is not offering fingerprint services until further notice.
- Sex offender registration must be done by appointment only, call (801) 264-2674 to schedule.
- To file a GRAMA request for a police report or traffic accident report, please do so electronically:

- 801-264-2658 or email to policeadmin@murray.utah.gov.
- Reports may also be requested by using the state portal website at: https://openrecords.utah.gov/ under Murray City Police.
- We will contact you upon the completion of the request, so make sure to include a valid phone number.
- To pick up property from the evidence technician, please call (801) 264-2652 to schedule an appointment.
C. Utility Billing
- Utility billing is open but still encourages payment to be made by mail, online, or by calling (801) 264-2626. Payments can also be deposited in the drop box, located on Arlington Avenue on the north side of city hall.
Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street, (801) 264-2637
- The cemetery is open. Social distancing required.
Murray City Fire Department
- Fire stations are open, but please protect our first responders. Do not enter if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to the virus. Please wear a mask.

Murray City Library, 166 East 5300 South
- The library will have a limited opening for specific services only.
- Appointments are available to use computers.
- Printing and scanning access is available, with limited time sessions.
- Quick print is available (10-minute sessions).
- Lobby area is open for wireless printing.
- The library is not open for browsing or material check out. We encourage you to use our digital services or hold pick-up service. There are no in-person programs scheduled.
Murray Municipal Court, 688 E. Vine Street, (801) 284-4280
- The court is open for specific cases. Please contact the court directly for information and instructions.
Murray City Parks and Recreation
A. Parks Office, 296 E. Murray Park Avenue (801) 264-2614
- The office will be open for business transactions only. Only one person allowed in the lobby at a time.
B. Park Center, 202 E. Murray Park Avenue (801) 284-4200
- The park center remains closed until further notice due to current restrictions.
C. Senior Recreation Center, 10 East 6150 South (801) 264-2635
- The center remains closed until further notice due to current restrictions.
- Sack lunches are available Tuesday-Friday for curbside pickup. Lunch must be ordered in advance by calling the number above.
- Beginning May 13, Car Bingo will take place every Wednesday for those 55+. Please call the center or visit their Facebook page to learn more.
Murray Parkway Golf Course, 6345 S. Murray Parkway Ave. (801) 262-4653
- The golf course is open. Social distancing required.
Murray City Power Department, 153 West 4800 South
- Main office entrance is open.
- Contractors are strongly encouraged to make appointments. Please call (801) 264-2730.
Murray City Public Works Building, 4646 South 500 West
A. Community Development (801) 270-2420
- The building will be open to the public. Lobby access on the main floor will be limited to fewer individuals to maintain social distancing. Waiting space is available in the foyer, chairs will be spaced appropriately.
- A deck box will remain in place near the front entrance to allow for the exchange of documents without in-person contact.
B. Public Works (801) 270-2440
- Limited public access at the counter, social distancing must be maintained.
- The ABOP recycling program is not available until further notice.
