Shade Tree & Beautification Commission

The Murray City Shade Tree & Beautification Commission, established in 1980 is a group of community volunteers who work under the direction of the city's Forestry Division. They judge the Annual Jim & Jean Hendrickson Beautification Award, judge the Arbor Day Contest winners and assist in the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony held at City Hall. Members recognize the importance of trees within the community to enhance the quality of life for all residents, visitors, and merchants.
