Murray City Center District (MCCD)

The Murray City Center District is envisioned as the commercial, civic, and cultural center of the community.  The zoning regulations and proposed design guidelines of the Murray City Center District are intended to promote opportunities for compact, pedestrian-oriented, sustainable redevelopment in the downtown area. The Murray City Center District should be a true downtown; a rich and lively mixed-use center with design elements that focus on the pedestrian experience and the streetscape. It should provide opportunities for residential development, neighborhood-oriented businesses, restaurants, and civic and cultural spaces.

A five member committee reviews applications and provides recommendations to the Planning Commission regarding new construction and major alterations to the exterior of buildings in the MCCD.
