Sewer Rate Increase Notice -How are my sewer rates calculated?
Monthly rates are calculated from the previous year's water consumption during the winter months. The "winter months are defined as November 1st through April 30th of the following year. For new users with no history of water consumption, users shall be billed the average charge of a like and similar user as determined by Murray City. Such average shall be billed on a monthly basis until a history of water consumption has been obtained.
Can a water leak affect my sewer bill?
Yes! If you experienced a leak that was outside the home and occurred during the winter months you may be eligible for an adjustment. There are multiple criteria that must also be met to obtain an adjustment. Please contact Ben Ford, 801-270-2474, to discuss whether an adjustment is possible.
How do I pay my sewer bill?
Sewer bills may be paid through the utility billing department. For questions on paying your bill or account questions please contact utility billing by phone at 801-264-2626.
