Focusing on crime prevention programs, successful patrol techniques, traffic enforcement as well as partnerships with the community to create and maintain a safe place to work and live.

Presented to: Victim Advocate Alissa Black
Alissa Black has been a victim advocate for the Murray City Police Department since 2004, prior to coming to our Department she also worked as a Victim Advocate in California. Alissa has taken the lead on many projects not only inside our own Department but within the entire State. She regularly presents training to victim advocate and law enforcement groups. Alissa is a tremendous resource with vast experience to assist not only victims but also our entire Department when dealing with very difficult situations.
Officer of the Year
Presented to: Detective Richard Black
Detective Richard Black was hired by the Murray City Police Department in November 2005. Detective Black has been a member of the SWAT Team for the last seven years and a Detective for five years. Detective Black has been the lead detective in several high profile cases. Detective Black is a great asset to the Department.
