The mission of the Murray City Police Department is to provide a safe and peaceful environment for people to live and work. Providing police services that are of the highest quality and that are responsive to the needs of the community. We will work to develop community partnerships enabling us to jointly solve problems and enhance the quality of life in our City.

We are committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property, the preservation of peace, order and safety, the enforcement of laws and ordinances and the safeguarding of constitutional guarantees. Sydney MaxfieldPolice Department - Employee of the Year

Presented to: Crime Analyst Sydney Maxfield

Sydney Maxfield has been a full time Office Specialist since August 2014 where she has worked on case reports and general office duties needed for the operation of Police Records. In 2018, Sydney took on an additional assignment within her role, and has taken various classes to become the Crime Analyst for the Department. In this capacity, Sydney can assist in-house by providing stats to officers and city staff; as well as a point of contact for the community and citizens needing statistical information. Her first year has proven to be a great success!
