The Murray City Police Cadet program gives High School students the opportunity to learn about a career in law enforcement; while participating in the daily operations of the Police Department. These students will wear an official Murray City Police Cadet Uniform and will receive on the job, police related training.
During their time as a Cadet they will also, under the direction of their supervisor, assist with residential property checks, data entry, phone coverage in the police lobby and other duties as assigned. They will participate in several programs allowing them to be a mentor to the youth in our city as a Murray City Police Cadet.
This is a great opportunity for students to get firsthand knowledge and experience of police work. As well as an avenue to help them determine their career choices in the future.
